A1 Chronologies is a specialist provider dedicated solely to the preparation of medical chronologies. Our work is confined strictly to the medical records supplied. This focused approach promotes clarity, neutrality and consistency across instructions, supporting efficient case analysis and expert reporting.


Since January 2025, we have provided chronology support across more than 65 medico-legal matters.*

Standard

Premium

The Premium Service includes one or more additional organisational or formatting features, including:
 

  • Indexing and/or pagination of all medical record pages received.
     

  • Chronology events hyperlinked to record entries.
     

  • Integration of the chronology with the underlying records into a single PDF file (bundling).

The Standard Service provides a clear, well-structured chronology, and is ideal where:
 

  • A chronology and summary is required without additional formatting.
     

  • The records are already paginated/indexed.
     

  • The records are not extensive, complex, and/or unstructured.
    ​​


 Inclusion of any one or more of the listed Premium features qualifies the instruction under the Premium Service.

In some cases, where records are extensive or unstructured, the Standard service may be unsuitable. If the records are in such a condition that hinders the
proper review of the matter at hand, A1 Chronologies reserves the right to refuse a request for the Standard Service and recommend the Premium Service.

Our chronologies are intended to be factual representations of records and do not constitute a medical or legal opinion.

The client sends an enquiry and receives the Terms of Engagement for review.

The client accepts the Terms, provides formal written instruction and the medical records.

Timescale

We review the records and issue a Confirmation with total fee and estimated completion date.

Chronology Preparation

The records are analysed and a clear, structured chronology is prepared.

Delivery &
Invoice

The chronology undergoes a final review before being securely delivered with the invoice.

Our per-page-pricing is transparent and eliminates the uncertainty of hourly billing.

A1 Chronologies is not VAT registered so the following fees are the net total cost.​

Excipian Ltd, trading as A1 Chronologies, is not VAT registered. ​Preferential rates are offered strictly at the discretion of A1 Chronologies.
Express Service and Bulk rates are subject to ​​availability, Bulk pricing is typically considered for record volumes exceed 2000 pages. 
Fees are calculated per page, small-font or handwritten records may be charged at a higher rate due to the additional processing time required.
Prices are accurate as of May 2026 and are reviewed regularly, intended as a guideline only. The feed will be confirmed in our Terms of Engagement.​
